On the other hand, performing some simple initial tests such as the semen analysis can uncover a possible cause for not having achieved pregnancy and the detection avoids wasting precious time trying naturally without good chances. In that case it will always be better to know the situation as soon as possible because we will have more time to do the most appropriate thing.

Thus, whenever there is suspicion of any difficulty or simply when starting to search, it does not hurt to carry out some preliminary tests, without the need to carry out a complete sterility study.
When these tests go well, it is advisable to give yourself some time (between 4 and 8 months, although from the age of 37-38 it is recommended not to wait that long) before delving into the study and considering an assisted reproduction technique.
