Welcome to Cefer institute
The CEFER Reproduction Institute is dedicated to the study and treatment of sterility, which has an important human side. Our objective is to cordially provide couples with all the information requested in a complete manner. It is important that the couple feels comfortable with the staff they deal with in order to be able to more effectively delve into the problem and the solution our medical team offers.
It is known that 15% of all couples have fertility problems.
For approximately 30% of these couples, the problem lies with the woman. For another 30%, the problem lies with the man and for the remaining third, both members of the couple have some type of difficulty or the origin is unknown. For this reason, the couple must be studied and treated as a unit: both the man and the woman.
The diagnosis and treatment for sterility requires a comprehensive study of the couple which requires the participation of professionals from various disciplines with a single common objective. The CEFER Institute team is made up of more than 60 professionals including andrologists, gynaecologists, cytogeneticists, biologists, urologists and auxiliary staff who are capable of caring for the human and scientific side of each couple (or woman).
Our organisational structure allows us to handle 100% of the diagnostic and therapeutic requirements without the need to go to another centre.
We have all the clinical application techniques available, both diagnostic and therapeutic: andrology and gynaecology studies, cytogenetics, semen analysis, artificial insemination (AI), In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF), sperm microinjection (ICSI), assisted hatching, Semen Bank, Egg Bank and Embryo Bank, sex selection (where legal), genetic diagnosis of the embryo before transfer to the uterus (Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD), chromosome study of the sperm (FISH), meiotic chromosome study in testicular biopsy. Assisted Reproduction for HIV (AIDS virus) or Hepatitis C virus seropositive individuals or couples.
